NJ: Welcome to the very first post of our blog — a space where we’ll help buyers make informed real estate decisions at every stage of their journey. With me today is my co-host, Dr Tan Tee Khoon. Dr Tan, shall we start with a quick introduction?

TK: Hi everyone, I’m Dr Tan Tee Khoon — a real estate evangelist. I’ve been in the industry for more than 30 years, and in that time, I’ve been both a keen student of the market and an advocate for helping people plan and execute their property decisions wisely. My work blends the latest research on buyer psychology with practical strategies for acquisition, management, and even disposal. Over the years, I’ve worked with developers, agents, and everyday consumers to navigate the often-complex real estate landscape.

NJ: That’s quite a career! And I think that “evangelist” label fits you perfectly. As for me — I’m Dr Lee Nai Jia, and I’m often described as a real estate futurist. My career began in academic research before moving into applied market research, with a focus on city planning, urban economics, and property markets. These days, I spend much of my time using data to forecast market trends, test hypotheses, and help both companies and individuals make informed decisions.

TK: Which is why we work so well together — I bring the “why” behind human behaviour, and you bring the “what’s next” through data and market foresight.

NJ: Exactly. Together, we aim to give buyers and investors a 360-degree view of the property journey — so they can act with confidence and clarity.

TK: Because buying a home — whether for investment or for living — is one of the biggest milestones in life. It can be thrilling… but also stressful.

NJ: And that’s where we step in.

TK: In the posts to come, we’ll break down each step of the housing journey, share strategies, and demystify the process — so readers can focus on the excitement, not the anxiety.
